Today, with the ever-increasing competition in the gaming and entertainment industry, branding is playing an even more pivotal role as companies attempt to define their brand experience and differentiate themselves. Julia Carcamo is keenly focused on this need and the motivations of casino guests and team members.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Julia began her career in the newly burgeoning Gulf South gaming market. Subsequently, she moved to Las Vegas to serve as Director of Brand Marketing for Caesars Entertainment, developing the brand architecture for the company’s core brands, including refinement of the industry's paragon loyalty program.
Following her time at Wynn Resorts, developing and launching the brand for the company's signature properties and its various stores and restaurants, she was at the helm of developing the Isle of Capri house of brands, introducing new brands and successfully connecting with new and inactive customers, and the reintroduction of the iconic Lady Luck Casino brand.
Today, Julia serves as president and chief brand strategist at J Carcamo & Associates, working with casino properties from coast to coast. She writes on various casino and general marketing topics, including the new book Reel Marketing: The Art of Building a Casino Brand, and is the founder of the highly lauded Casino Marketing Boot Camp. She is also co-founder of the Hispanic marketing firm espÑOLA.
