SJP is looking to hire a Field PR Account Manager to be based in the Baton Rouge or New Orleans area. This individual would need to have  5+ years of experience in marketing/PR/communication/events.

Job description
Eligible candidates MUST have the following criteria:

The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Liaison with client in both the New Orleans region and Jacksonville headquarters on a daily basis
Lead in the development of “project briefs” for local, regional and company-wide initiatives
Plan, execute and support events for local and regional initiatives
Lead the development of client communications in accordance with approved plans/briefs and budgets, communicating with client and agency staff
Guide daily development of communications activities as planned, ensuring progressive deliverables are presented and approved with adequate time to meet deadlines
Provide agency disciplines with objectives, guidelines and executional information as required/requested, leading the briefings/input meetings when asked by the Account Supervisor(s)
Evaluate the objective and strategic fit of the agency’s recommendations, plans and work product
Ensure agency work product is accurate and meets agency standards
Submit recommendations and cost estimates for client approval
Support and/or perform campaign evaluation, analysis and reporting
Review and approve client billing
Organize and maintain necessary records for future reference (correspondence, estimates, work samples)
Maintain client confidentiality
Assist with client retention by advising client development team of account risks or opportunities
Track and share competitive communications with agency team
Research the client’s markets, competitors and other industry topics to be able to provide executive leadership with client coverage and insights on trends, competitors and industry topics

Excellent knowledge of the New Orleans/Louisiana landscape, including uniqueness of the market, people and culture
Able to effectively manage several projects simultaneously, managing complex timelines and changing dynamics
Effective working knowledge of public relations, marketing, customer relationship marketing and integrated communications
Excellent interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills are required
Able to comprehend sometimes-complex instructions, correspondence and memos
Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to clients and co-workers
Independent with a creative spirit and the ability to generate “outside of the box” ideas
Results-driven and able to translate client needs into media opportunities
Able to work independently or as a member of a highly collaborative team
Flexible with work hours – on call outside traditional work hours
Able to travel – client-related travel as required
Friendly and sociable – working in the public relations field requires an amiable personality

The PR Account Manager should have a minimum of the below qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, communications, marketing or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in a related position. Prefer PR agency experience and experience serving retail and/or multi-unit clients.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent oral, editing and written communications skills
Proficient in AP Style
